Before
the crown.
How a boy from the slums
became Emperor of Fallstar.
Medicus wasn’t born into the royal family.
He grew up in Fallstar’s slums. Saving Crown Prince Cayde earned him a place among the emperor’s heirs. A coup ended that life, but not his story.
01 The boy beneath the crown +
A child of revolutionaries, Medicus saved Crown Prince Cayde during an attack on the capital. The emperor adopted him as the third heir. He went from the slums to the imperial court.
02 The fall & the bargain +
A coup shattered the royal family. Shot from the Spire by Alexia with the very weapon he had made for her, Medicus met Veles in the void. Resurrection came at a price. In exile, he gathered the outcasts who became the Usurpers.
03 The emperor who broke time +
Medicus returned to reclaim Fallstar. In the battle, the death of Tempus placed time itself within his reach. He could rewind fatal moments and claimed the throne as emperor.
04 Beyond a single world +
The Scarlet King’s threat spread across realities. Medicus founded the Red Regicide, a coalition united against it. His story comes from the Convergence D&D campaigns.
